SDA Drums
Stevie D Allen has been playing drums for over seventeen years. He first started off by having lessons from the legendary Martin Foulard and then progressed onto playing in his church of around two thousand people. Quite a scary start to gigging but loads of fun.
He quickly moved on to playing in the post grunge band Death Is Not Welcome Here. They managed to play all around the UK and America. After leaving those guys, Stevie found himself in Wales playing for a few local singer songwriters until he joined the band Bensem.
With Bensem, he put out the album "Western Lights" and received glowing feedback and critical acclaim. Once again he found himself on the road promoting the album. The band found most of its success in America.
After leaving Bensem, Stevie joined Firewoodisland. The band released two EPs 'Illd' and 'Dome' and a debut album ‘Chaos is the State of Heart’. They enjoyed success in Norway with two Top 40 hits, played countless shows across the UK and Europe and had the same honour of playing at Latitude festival. They enjoyed great support from the BBC having been played on BBC Radio 1, 2 and 6 as well as local radio.
Stevie is now onto a new project with the John Nicholas band. John is experiencing a lot of love from the industry at the moment, having just won a major music showcase. They have just completed a UK headline tour including playing All Points East Festival alongside Mumford and Sons. Having recorded new singles with a Grammy nominee producer and a European tour coming up in March 2020, along with many more exciting things in store for 2019, it’s going to be a busy year!
